Kids Trad Culture Classes
Trad Culture are classes that provide an excellent introduction in to the world of Irish Music, Dance & Culture in a fun and engaging manner. Classes are aimed at young children (ages 4+) with no previous experience in music or dance required.
THE COURSE, CREATED AND DEVELOPED BY TRINITY COLLEGE DUBLIN GRADUATE/LECTURER MARK HENNESSEY, IS BASED ON A SERIES OF ENGAGING GAMES, EXERCISES AND ACTIVITIES THAT WILL FACILITATE THEM TO LEARN THE BASICS OF IRISH DANCING, MUSIC FUNDAMENTALS (INCLUDING HOW TO READ SHEET MUSIC), AS WELL AS A GENERAL INTRODUCTION TO IRISH INSTRUMENTS, TUNES AND RHYTHMS. Competitive & Hobby Classes – Trim & Navan
We hold competitive & hobby classes in Scoil Mhuire in Navan and Trim GAA Club. Mark Hennessey is Garda vetted, full qualified and registered with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha. Dancers registered with the school are eligible to compete at feiseanna (competitions) held by the organisation both nationally and internationally.
Ceilí Classes
CÉILÍ DANCING (GROUP/TEAM) CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS ARE HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THESE CLASSES ARE SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES FROM BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED. LEARN FUN GROUP DANCES THAT HAVE COME FROM THE TRADITIONAL ROOTS OF DANCE IN IRELAND. competitive classes are also available for those would like IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING PLEASE GET IN TOUCH USING THE FORM BELOW.
Fundraising & Community Outreach
As well as competitive & hobby classes, dancers also participate in community outreach and fundraising projects throughout the year. appearances includes performing for pope francis in croke park when he visited in 2018 as well as participating in the Riverdance Danceathon each year which takes place at the Gaeity Theatre Dublin.
Irish Dance Bootcamp
irish dance bootcamp are FUN AND ENERGETIC IRISH DANCe CLASSES WHERE YOU LEARN SOME BASIC IRISH DANCE STEPS AND DANCES WITH THE AIM OF BOOSTING YOUR FITNESS (OR SOMETIMES LESS FOR FITNESS AND MORE FOR FUN!).
CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE FOR ALL AGES AND FITNESS LEVELS AND AS ALL OF THE STEPS NEEDED ARE BASIC AND WILL BE BROKEN DOWN IN CLASS THERE IS NO PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
