Director

Mark Hennessey is a multi-disciplinary creator, performer and educator from Dublin Ireland. A multi-instrumentalist, he has toured in various productions such as Lord of the Dance as well as residing in Busch Gardens Virginia and Planet Hollywood Resort Las Vegas.

He is a fully qualified Irish dance teacher registered with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha with over 15 years teaching experience internationally. He teaches classes and regular workshops in Ireland, Austria & Finland. As well as teaching music and dance worldwide, Mark has also previously lectured in Visual Music on the MPhil Music & Media Technologies course in Trinity College Dublin.

He is also the musical director of the European Irish Music Ensemble where he coaches and composes music for professional and hobby musicians in locations around Europe. He composes both electronic and acoustic music ranging from solo pieces to full ensemble/orchestral works in traditional and contemporary styles.

His work has been broadcast on both regional and national radio stations such as RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, Newstalk and Raidió na Life as well as performed live in the National Concert Hall in Dublin. His music has also been performed live by the Young Dublin Symphonia and the world renowned Crash Ensemble.
